Camp has the rep as the druggiest music festival in all of Christendom but that gives it a very unique charm that is hard to find at other festivals. Everyone is there to do basically the same thing which is to jam and do drugs without fear of the police hunting them down. However, the vibes of the festival are changing since they moved to Montage Mountain from ILCC. Now they have an actual security company providing security instead of a biker gang who would be just as likely to sell you drugs as they would be to beat your ass for selling drugs. It's an amazing time but it is not a festival for the Coachella or Ultra crowd, it's dirty and focused solely on jamtronica and EDM. No art displays, no PLUR nonsense.
I'm hyped to be going again this year.
