I think Gynsin was actually part of it, and I know he was very close to WSB, thats why I posted it.
Out of curiosity, what artist with no direct connection with WSB most closely reflects the spirit of his work? Skinny Puppy or maybe Atari Teenage Riot comes to my mind first but I'm sure theres better examples

As far as non-Burroughs related guys I always just default to sound poetry people like Henri Chopin and all those cut-up dadaists.
Although I'd also say some of Jeremiah Cymerman's more heavily edited works kinda relate (even if they aren't as fun and playful).
I know Sonic Youth also tried their best to do Burroughs-stuff but how greatly they succeeded is kinda up in the air (I still like NYC Flowers & Ghosts though).

They had one set up in sort of chill out room at a festival I attended with music composed to enhance it but if it could work, it wasn't in a festival setting with everyone all hyped up and drunk and milling about around you as you tried to relax and (not?) focus on it
Also, Steve Lacy did an album with Brion Gysin that I'm not super huge into but it still might be worth checking out if this is your thing.
