I don't like the new Deftones album either but this review was just lazy. He described the songs on a very surface level, like he's already made up his mind before listening. The video was clearly more fan service than passion for music.

It's very obvious when Anthony has made up his mind before even hearing the album. That being said, his points on all 3 albums mentioned are pretty valid.
Don't like that he focused all of his criticism on the production and not the disjointed songwriting. He sort of did when he talked about acid hologram but he could have talked about PI, geometic headress and xenon.
kind of understand why some people wouldn't put too much thought into fantano's reviews. i don't think he knows much about songwriting... and his band taiga would seem to back that theory up.
