I really wanna delve into electronic music, what could you rec me (preferably albums recs) ? I literally know nothing about electronic music aside from BoC, FlyLo, Autechre, Amon Tobin, AFX, Massive Attack, Portishead, Fourt Tet. Red pill me on this.
>pic only used to grab your attention

House wise - Daft Punk and Justice
if you like chill-hip-hoppy try Odesza or Flume.
Not too big on ambient and thats what most of moo seems to like so I'll stay away from there for now.
>>64063400
looks like some chink girl. can't you find tons that are actually naked on the internet?
>>64063436
yeah but most JAV girls are butterfaces to the extreme
House, Garage, Jungle, Hardcore
also unless you're into specific IDM or other type stuff, albums are NOT the way to go
The Orb
Towa Tei
Fantastic Plastic Machine
Daedelus
there, some recs that aren't completely /mu/-core nor that obscure
>>64063348
>guitar music
Reminder that if you unironically use this term, you probably don't have the musical intelligence to appreciate any form of music.
>>64063494
>techno isn't an album-based genre
when will this meme end
one of my favorite albums of all time:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QJlZy7RLk4
Electronic is such a broad term nowadays. It can mean encompass a lot more musically than it used to. But, if you want a rundown of some decent artists I'd start nowhere else than Daft Punk, Justice, Kavinsky, Boys Noize, Swedish House Mafia, Laidback Luke, Classixx, Royksopp, Groove Armada, DJ Kawasaki. I listed a few different names to try to indicate just how much diversity is within electronic music.
I would also very much recommend artists like Morcheeba, Blue Six, Air, Bent, and Lemon Jelly if you're looking for more relaxing electronic music.
Semi related, anyone know anything similar in energy to this? None of that overproduced crescendocore shit

Hold up, who is this neon semon demon
Another of my favorite albums
Semon demon who?
You will like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3AxDHGthEk
Straddles the boundaries between avant garde rock and electronic music.
>>64063348
semen who demon?
I seriously have the opposite problem. I was exposed to rock/"guitar music" a lot as a kid, but after like 6 years of nothing but electronic music, I can't seem to enjoy any typical acoustic songs of any kind anymore (with only like 3 or 4 exceptions).
I just lose interest within the first few seconds. Everything feels "generic".
How do I let myself branch back out of electronic music?
It's getting so bad that nearly all albums made before like 1998, of all genres, seem to lose my attention. Help.
Some really entry level stuff-
Orbital
The Yellow Magic Orchestra
Kosheen
The Chemical Brothers
LTJ Bukem
Special Request
Maya Jane Coles
Falty DL
DJ Shadow
Basic Soul Unit
Jam City

Same here, I occasionally listen to Boris, Melt Banana, Blank, Blank, ????. I think theirs less limitations in electronic music than theirs in rock music. The ability to create electronic music is more accessible now more than ever, some kid can probably produce a top charting song using frootyloops.

>>64063348
nice op pic...
my advice is listen to everything ever released by daniel lopatin. he's the man.
>>64063348
What a shame :(
LISTEN TO TECHNO
jeff mills, robert hood, drexciya, model 500, underground resistance, basic channel, surgeon, joey beltram
explore labels, focus on singles/EPs/DJ mixes/compilations rather than albums. dance music VERY rarely works in album format
>burial
>aphex twin
>venetian snares
>underworld
>kraftwerk
Enjoy
Just came over OP's pic

You should get into saxophone music. Much more varied than electronic music.

Your mission is to start with the entirety of the Good Looking Records discography, starting with Demon's Theme/A Couple of Beats and ending at Locksmith.
Once you have listened to all 343 releases you will have a very basic understanding of electronic music and will be well equipped to start forming very simple opinions and thoughts about electronic music. This will likely shock you at first, but the next leg of your journey will afford you the capabilities to put these feelings and thoughts into actual words.
Return to this thread when you've finished your first leg of this journey and I will tell you how to proceed from there.
just lurk /bleep/ and don't ask for recs
