Arguably his best track from an otherwise eh album. This is why his studio discography is worth at least one full listen.

I like prog and symphonic shit too but I could never vibe with Transatlantic desu.
Recently been listening to a lot of Birth Control (great prog band from Germany, has more in common with classic UK prog than typical krautrock like Can or Faust) and Gentle Giant. Looking to try out Spock's Beard too.
Also the best progressive rock song ever is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OS0o4nD3QFs

>>64058910
holy fuck
I haven't heard much Zappa other than Hot Rats and Freak Out. What should I listen to next?
>>64059013
I've heard everything in Steven Wilson's solo career, just hadn't heard anything pre-Signify in PT's.
>>64059092
what solo album should I start with steven wilson? thanks
>>64058891
Chris Squire, Yes' bassist, created that song by himself with his bass guitar, which really blows my mind
>>64059080
i agree with you,
heart of the sunrise > roundabout

>What should I listen to next?
Depends on what you liked.
If you liked Freak Out more, try out the Mothers' earlier stuff (my favorite).
If you liked Hot Rats more, check out his more jazzy/comedy stuff and the later Mother's stuff.
He has good material all the way through 1982, so I'd just recommend listening to all of that. Don't bother with the posthumous albums unless you want to hear some of his live archival stuff (pretty damn good).
I'm not huge into prog, but I'm really enjoying this album
>>64058910
fuck this may be my new favorite prog track. I'm slowly making my way through his discography. How much should I hear/avoid?
>>64059121
Hand.Cannot.Erase shows off his talent for mixing pop with progressive rock very well.
This whole fucking album dude. My god.
>>64059305
Also, if someone can point me to more stuff like this and De-Loused in the Comatorium, that'd be awesome.
>>64059330
i think reddit.com would be a good place to start
Anyone else looking forward to the new Big Big Train?
>>64059495
