Yes, it is so nice to be classically trained. Thank you for noticing. If by classically trained you mean that I learned a shitload of theory from books, videos, and websites by primarily teaching myself for the last 30 years or more then we are on the same page. Classical training is such a good thing. I pride myself by my classical training and I define myself and my life by it. In fact I actually changed my legal name to Classically Trained.

This has that element of noisiness and nonchalance that I love in no-wave; listening to Black Dice, I got clear influences from Black Dice (duh), Mars, and really any Albini project, which I enjoy immensely. The sound, while lo-fi, still feels massive and encompassing, aggressive while not being overwhelming.

I'm honestly not too much of a fan of this. The production, while nice and clear, doesn't really feel distinct or expansive enough to fit the sound you're going for. In addition, many of the loops aren't melodically or rhythmically interesting enough to propel the track; try listening to Mootomi Doi for inspiration

Outside of that, I adore the production on Posing For Rosey. Very FlyLo or Teebs in nature, and the sound is executed in one of the best ways I've heard in one of these threads. Yeah, fair enough. I got a bit ahead of myself I guess. I thought if I did a bubblegum 4 chord weezer-ish song, like you'd hear on the alt radio, and combined it with my lack of production skills that it would that it would sound punk enough to be original.

Great instrumentation, beat fits really well and gives that IDM vibe. Its like a mix of Bon Iver, Baths and a little Radiohead. Saxaphone is a beautiful edition. The cosmogramma style jazz drums are real cool too. Nice sense of pacing. Overall I liked it quite a bit. Keep it up.
