I think the only reason she wanted the album version in the album was because it is softer and calmer and contrasted more with Pluto. She mentioned that part of the inspiration for Homogenic is the myth of Ragnarok in which the world/universe/whatever ends and then is reborn as a perfect peaceful world or something like that. Pluto is the point where everything ends, AIFOL is the rebirth. I agree, btw. The single/music video version is much better, I'm just sharing a piece of trivia as to why she used that version in the album.

It's been hours since you answered, but melanin is the substance that makes you dark, not vitamin D. The more melanin your skin has the less vitamin D (whose synthesis is increased by ultraviolet light, and the main source of ultraviolet is sunlight) you can produce.
