Mac Demarco is what kids listen to. If you aren't down with the shenanigans that go down at his shows than I got news for you.
Sufjan Stevens fans either put to much emphasis on his sad songs like he is generally a depressing songwriter when Carrie and Lowell is his only downer album, or they just focus on him being quirky and having long song titles and playing the recorder.
Same with Neutral Milk Hotel to a degree with singing saws and semen but I feel like they also appreciate The Right Things about the band.
