what the hell is this fucking drivel
Let me guess muh Zach Hill isn't number one right it's such an outrage.
>>63949572
>no Nick Mason...
fuck that list
I'm a huge Beatlesfag and Ringo is the coolest guy ever and shit, but that's just embarrassing
Also
>No Max Roach
Also>>63949623 Zach Hill is a fantastic drummer
>>63949822
>no human 4/4 drum machine
damn...
>Tomas Haake at ninety-fucking-fifth
What is this bullshit
In the context of a "top 100 ever" list it's actually pretty solid. It's covers many different styles and many different eras. There's lots of debate to be had about the list order, glaring omissions, genre favoring, etc., but it does what it does. Sure not everybody's favorite can be number one, but it also emphasizes influence as well as pure skill, which explains guys like Ringo being so high. My favorite drummer is included, so I'm happy. I expected a lot worse.
Seems like a decent list
That's unacceptable, she deserves at least top 30
>no Jaki Liebezeit
>Rolling Stone
Not even once.
>>63952915
There's fucking Meg White but not Jaki?
What the fuck?
>>63949572
>Meg White
ayy lmao
>>63953035
DUDE BOOBIES LMAO
>>63953011
>>63953035
>>63953602
Why does Rolling Stone have such a boner for Meg White? Her simplistic style fit The White Stripes but it wasn't impressive, groundbreaking or influential.
>It's a baby boomer anglosphere bullshit list from the rolling stone episode
>>63951379
>implying influence means anything on a list like this
>>63953676
The baby boomer picks aren't that bad desu. The biggest fuck ups are the modern picks. Meg White isn't a very skilled or influential drummer but she's on the list.
>>63952915
>implying anyone outside of /mu/ and rym care about Can
>>63953720
>implying they didn't have a massive influence on music
Pretty much every single post-punk musician was a massive fan of Can.
>>63952932
They write better about politics than they do music, really.
>>63953711
i think the point was more that they threw in their favourite baby boomer bullshit and then rounded up with drummers they sort of know the names of to make it some arbitrary number like 100
>>63953720
>influenced the entire post-punk movement and countless 80s-90s alternative rock bands
>"lol no one cares about them"
You're retarded.
>meg white is on it at all
hahahaha come on now
>>63953711
>meg white
Jack has come out in interviews talking about how he had to tone down the complexity of his playing to match hers lmao
>rolling stone numerical list for retards who 'rate' music
gotta have your
-token women no ones ever heard of
-token blacks no ones ever heard of
-token indie critics darlings no ones ever heard of
-token ethnic weirdo art figure no ones ever heard of
if you want a chuckle, look up 'worst 500 rolling stone reviews'
they managed to rate probably the most important albums of the past 60 years with such poor accuracy in regards to how the albums were perceived in the future at a rate thats comical for how full of shit they are
on the flip side, there is an equally comical high praise of complete garbage albums
critics of all sorts are parasites and the lowest of the low
100-greatest-drummers-of-all-time
>>63952915
>Jaki Liebezeit
This.
I would have put Robert Wyatt on the list as well.
>Dave Grohl in front of Phil Collins
>Ringo Star ahead of BASED Bruford.
>Carl Palmer not even on the list
>>63953868

>>63953720
nigga they STILL are influential as fuck, even to this day
They got both Tiki Fulwood and Jerome Bailey there so I'm cool with it
