what do /mu/ think about this album? be honest.
No matter what you think about it , you can't deny its influence on modern metal
Why is nu metal making a resurgence? I never thought this awful joke of a genre would go from garbage to Nirvana-tier overrated garbage.

the sound is really overplayed given music advances of the last 20 years, but at the time it must've sounded relatively fresh. It's not a bad album, probably one of best nu-metal has to offer. Unfortunately most people associate it with that horrendous nu-metal phase of the late 90s-early 00s.

I need to sit down and listen to it, but Blind is a fun song and I liked their mixtape a hell of a lot.
Chances are it probably won't be able to top Slipknot's Self titled as that album holds up even now.

Nah, nu-metal had plenty of good stuff to offer. Mudvayne, Flapjack, Pulse Ultra, Velcra, early Deftones, Nothingface, all of these were great. Korn were tight too tough.

Shitty part about slipknot is the 'real' metalheads hate on iowa for not being exclusively death metal. I've heard it from quite a few anons - it's too light to be metal, or 'real' metal but htat damn album is still pretty fucking heavy.
Kind of why i changed how i refer to 'em - i call 'em hard rock and that seems to work.
