>hear slutty girls blasting this near high schools and shit
>listen to it on the radio, hear it playing on the speakers at mcdonald's
>"grrl u godda uorguorguorguorguorg"
>i have this pretty bad habit of listening to shitty songs just because they sound catchy
>this one doesn't even sound catchy or good
>it's a fucking hard listen for me because of how strange it sounds
>not an earworm, doesn't click with me
>mfw people discussing this on here and the album
>mfw i listen to ANTI trying to understand what's going on
>mfw it's unredeemable shit

ok lads, there's a point between me being a hipster fuck, not liking the genre, being whatever you want, but this is too much.
everything in this is just bad. how can you fail at making something so easy to do?
i can't even fap to the fucking video. it's people twerking and grinding but it's in dim light and you can't see shit. i get an eyestrain.
i think it's worse than >>63903114 and after hearing halsey's album by the whole i thought it couldn't go worse than this.

Shit, I kept hearing about it but never heard it, that is pretty shit.

I don't understand why this unintelligible Jamaican bullshit just gets bigger and bigger. I understand that was sort of her thing, but I hear it more in radio rap and even normal pop. It is literally fucking gibberish, I can make out every fifth word she says but it's just awful.

I almost want to like the song, but it goes nowhere. I like the beat a little, but it just gets monotonous. It's absolutely low energy. There is no crescendo, no shift, it's just mumbling over an alright beat. That might have been acceptable if it didn't go on for seven fucking minutes.

The video reflects it, very poorly directed. Like you said, it's very dim and unfocused, then it's really bright and unfocused. Props to Rihanna for getting her nipples on Youtube, but none of it is really sexual. It seems like it should be, but it's so low energy, like they just filmed the practice run and made that the video. It's appropriate, I guess; it's about the level of dancing I expect people to do it with, it doesn't do any favors. It's a slow, drooly song that wants to be fast.

Not the worst around, but pretty fucking godawful. Very low effort, doesn't feel like anyone involved tried at all, they just kind of got comatose and went "shit, dudes, we need a single." And this is what turned up.

Welcome to contrarianism. The only requirement is that it's different.

A couple years ago pop music decided it was too cool for the only thing it was good at, being fun to listen to. Now you have incredibly vapid songs that are dry and minimal for the sake of being dry and minimal and have no redeeming qualities period.

Hopefully we drop this soon, it's god awful. I'd rather go back to the ultra glossy autotune bubblegum music we had 5 years ago.

wow, I'd never thought I'd get a reply as good as these, thanks. i expected some "grow up le wrong generation memester" or a w-pop defender post.
but you are absolutely right, what i like the most about this song is that it can't be considered good. what the top reply said is pretty objective: we reached rock bottom with this song
last decade had extremely shitty but fun pop songs. this is the very definition of the word shallow, it feels so dead.

so i can safely say that "work" by rihanna is one of the worst songs of the decade. the end.

Though this means that entirely without thread influence he said that, so that's two up, putting it in front of the race.

Anyone that unironically likes this shit is the type of faggot that posts halsey in these threads thinking he's a trv3 hipster.

Fleet Foxes make me cringe so hard

>So now I am older than my mother and father
>when they had their daughter
>now what does that say about me

It says literally nothing. Why do people think this is deep?
>>
>>63906068
People don't, r/indieheads teenagers do. Whatever, its sugary inoffensive radio fodder that is drenched in reverb and vocal harmonies and "ooohs" so urban teenagers think it's mystical and deep
