My favourite band is probably The Beatles or The Velvet Underground. They both just have so many records that I enjoy (TVU having 0 I don't). That's sorta' technical way of looking at it though. Weezer might be a band that's closer to my heart, but they lack the solid discographies of the previously mentioned acts.

I guess not, but the velvets were such an interesting group. They made some groundbreaking music, why would I want to hear them make boring 60s/70s pop no different from anything else at the time. If Loaded were released by any group besides the velvets it would be completely forgotten about.

I don't really care about that. I just care if I enjoy the music or not, and I'm not above liking some generic music. I mean, I'm personally not a fan of that record, but not because it's the velvets making a pop record, I just don't dig the songs.
