they started out about 20 minutes north of me so watching them grow has been awesome considering the only other thing outta this region that people know of is the garbage band State Champs. This album still holds up amazingly well as does their Nightlife EP which fits in almost better now than when it was released. Their new album had some good tracks but I will always hold EM special.

i think this album had way more of an impact than helplessness blues. HB was well liked by a lot of people both really into music and passive listeners but its still a great album. not many people tried to recreate their sound with that album and they would have failed anyways. ESATMZ on the other hand.....after they put out Home pretty much that became the standard format for releasing an "indie" single. Even without this, Mumford and Sons and all that other junk it still would have taken a steep falling off just like every other rock based genre (besides emo revival but that was after the indie movement ended in '09-'11)
