It's a great album, whatever it is. QOTSA is one of those bands that just never disappoints me.

Yes. It's conceptually brilliant, soundwise unique, has great variety and excellent songwriting. Plus a pretty unique aesthetic going on. It probably has some of their best lyrics too. Plebs didn't like it because it has a pretty disjointed, sometimes angular sound.
