The thing about Larkin Grimm's story is that it isn't just about Larkin Grimm. If Michael Gira is willing to fuck an unconscious woman, then who knows what else he's done.
Honestly I've always felt conflicted about the fact that Michael Gira is legitimately aggressively violent and troubled, and the Larkin Grimm thing kind of pushed it over the edge for me. He's a creep. I won't be buying this album.
Besides to point, the excerpt they posted to YouTube sounds like To Be Kind-lite. They're using similar material, instrumentation, production techniques...even the fucking album art. The Seer was a masterpiece and To Be Kind was a solid follow-up. I'm putting money on this album seriously disappointing fans.

Just listened to the clip and then realized i first heard black hole man two years ago now...time fucking flies. Like another poster said, the production on the main bass riff seems a bit tame compared to how the band package it live. Also, early 2015ish the band started opening that bass riff with ascending chords and weird lap-steel stuff... then all the chaos would end leaving the bass riff and drums on their own. I saw them live three times during this period and this section would drive people fucking crazy due to the dynamics of the chaos dissolving into a driving bass and drum beat. BUT, in the new glowing man excerpt, the bass riff is preceded by quietly strummed chords and shimmering vibes...like they used to play it live in 2014 :/ the full song probably gives context.
