Tame Impala were never supposed to blow up. It's melodic and kinda cool sounding neo-psych that's not especially memorable or well written, didn't change or affect music in any way and has nothing to do with the state of music/life in the 2010's other than the niche chillout/hipster fad crowd it was sucked up by for the year people cared about it.
