synths sound pretty damn interesting but the drums could hit harder, don't you think so?
Working on free jazz-inspired electronic music. this tune's in 7/8

First song I've made like this, should I make the drums louder?

What do you all suggest about buying this?
haven't had much experience with producing and i feel its a good starting point.
I've been learning the basics for a while now, just waiting until I have monitors and some hardware before I "get serious".

idk about louder but that snare was really flat imo would have liked for it to have cracked more than it "pafed"

Controllers are useless until they come with software you actually need (e.g. like Maschine on the right) but most of the software is just a toy (like Maschine).
I suggest you to get the ableton demo and find out for yourself which devices would actually help you in your work flow. The MPD might make sense but honestly I doubt it unless you wanna live drum all day. Take 3 months to actually figure out what you need

/pol/ once gave me 500 plays but that was the peak of my career. Anyway, if you are a vaporwave artist you must not be successful so I keep it real, right : {
