look, the combination is super pronounced on remain in light because it has the Whitest Man Alive being very White and dealing with White guy identity struggles and paranoia BUT ALSO has catchy black lady chanting "AHH" choruses and polyrhythmic percussion on it.

How is anything clashing (except our infrastructure with the way rich people pay taxes)? And I'm talking about really clashing. Sure, there are a few bombings but let's be honest for one second, the likelihood of dying because of a terror attack is way smaller than the liklihood dying because of a deer jumping in front of your car. Terrorist kill less people than deers, terrorists are fucking shit at their job. Also the refugee crisis in that context doesn't really matter, we would have terrorattacks either way, most terrorist come here by plane because it's easier. If we'd be genuinely upset about terror attacks we'd be stop founding these organisations before they blow up (no pun intended) and grow beyond the destabilizing of middle-eastern regions. Besides that there's no evidence that refugees are more or less criminal than the native population (at least here in germany). Just because it doesn't work perfectly it doesn't mean that it isn't working at all. Same goes for the album.
