he just seemed like he didn't give a fuck about game design, and they were headed towards a strict focus on mobile game development
he said that the programming that they were requiring for people to learn console development was too difficult and people couldn't handle it

It's a interesting place. Beautiful campus, interesting area and a lot of great people. My only issue with it was that being an expensive private school, it attracted a lot of super rich, out of touch white kids from Westchester and Long Island who were paying full price because their parents could afford it. As you could guess, these kids were just absolutely vile human beings. Didn't really matter much because I didn't have to interact with them, it was just really shocking at first because I've never seen people like that before.

Marist guy here. For what it's worth I never met a single game design major during my four years there, so many it was just a super small/shoehorned program. Not surprised it felt off.

RPI was beautiful I agree. I took the SAT with a fever so my math was ass. Ivy tier reading and writing and a 550 in math zozzle so no RPI for me
