The white album is one of the best sunshine pop albums in a while.
I know its compared to pinkerton and blue a lot, but I think these affect it negatively. Its not an emotionally cathartic masterpiece, its just fun and sweet.

I don't think anything really sounds like Pink/ Blue, except Do You Wanna Get High which genuinely sounds like it could be a lost Pinkerton b-side
>>63779311
Yeah, I think its a lot closer to blue than pinkerton, but really not much like either.
Do you wanna get high seems too happy to be a pinkerton B-side. I mean, the only Pinkerton B-sides that are somewhat happy were songs from the blackhole throwaways

>sunshine pop
yeah ok

Meh, there are some good songs on this album, but I'd still put it far behind Green (blue and pinkerton are so far removed from Weezer's new shit that its not even worth comparing).
I guess it's not total dog shit like many of their past albums. It's a good album to pick a few songs off of and put them on a playlist for a long drive during the summer.
Anything Weezer puts out pales in comparison to Jeff Rosenstock's solo work. I'll listen to Nauseous or Beers Again Alone and wonder why the fuck Rivers can't make songs like that anymore.
Also, these song titles are cringe.
this album's great.
Holy shit, this album doesn't have a single bad track. This is what Green should've been. California Kids, Wind in Our Sails, and L.A. Girlz alone make this a better album than Green.
Weezer is back and I can't fucking wait for The Black Album.
I think it's pretty good. I'm actually impressed because they're reputation has been shit for a while. But, yeah, really coming to form here. Already waiting for the next release.
