76 to 78 TD era, specially the Tangerine Tree bootlegs
I like the stuff with 'real drums' from drummers such as harald grooshopf and klaus kriege
there's this Zombi band that is pretty recent and their album from last year is pretty nice
stuff with richard pinhas although he's french it's pretty nice, like heldon starting from the 3rd album when they got more electronic
thinking now I think I already recced you this stuff
anyway get the manuel gottsching private tapes, as well as inventions for electric guitar
he also played in the cosmic jokers and with this guy Walter Wegmüller, his album tarot has a hell of a line up
stuff with the participation of klaus schulze being instruments or production can be interesting
he had a label Innovative Communication that put out some cheesy stuff and I do mean cheesy jesus christ
and yeah stuff with mark shreeve, ian boddy, thomas fanger and mario schonwalder can be nice too

so yeah this has been my year so far
really exciting stuff

The Afterlife is such a good album
Maybe you'd like Dorothy Ashby - Hip Harp?
>>63751242
Sianspheric - Somnium
>>
>>63751432
Ok that's a little difficult
I can do it fairly easily with poste and maybe kraute but most proge doesn't really have any field recordings at all
>>
>>63751439
Ok feel free with other related genres, I'd still be curious to try it.
>>
>>63751295

I think The Who are pretty shit, but that album is alright for the most part. Never watched the movie though.
>>
>>63751462
Well for starters under poste we immediately have GYBE, ASMZ and SFTF. In fact, any post-rock artist signed to Constellation Records has, more likely than not, used field recordings at some point

Under kraute the first thing that comes to mind is early Faust.
>>
>>63751432
Jennifers voice is so lush, will check out Dorothy cheers

>>63751498
Oh yea, I'm aware of those. Thank you though.
>>63751511
They're honestly almost nothing alike, not sure why I recced her. Good album though.
>>63751549
Ghost Opera is very spooky. It builds up tension with repetition of slightly dissonant progressions that will suddenly erupt into screeching orchestra or dissipate into ominous field recordings. Cool album.
>>
>>63751592
There's more I'm not thinking of, hold on a sec

Swans' later work is chockful of field recordings, tried that yet?

Soundtracks which was a complete bore to me and Filth which was decent but not amazing or anything. I'd be open to trying again though
>>63751891
>>63751927
Yea it was a cassette release only. The only link I know to the album was actually uploaded by the guy who wrote the songs himself.
>>
>>63752008
Oh man you should try their latest albums (which have no field recordings) and also White Light from the Mouth of Infinity and Love of Life (which do). Basically proto-Soundtracks but you might enjoy them more. They're more straightforward rock than Soundtracks.
>>
>>63752008
ah kk
my dad's downloading me a fuckton of music for my 19th bday (on April 22, so its comin up mate) and one of the albums i wrote was secret stars "wait" which was the two track cassette tape, so I'm wondering if there's a torrent he could actually find of it. Speaking of which, do you know any good torrent sites besides piratebay where I could actually find the albums I listen to? Thanks
>>
>>63752041

Nice! Also this site may be of interest to you, it compiles all the more obscure labels of the 90s. Go to the labels section and click on one to see their discography. Plenty of stuff to sift through and the occasional great band to be found.
