that's definitely on my list, I loved the one I just listened to
that solaris soundtrack is for the original movie right? have you seen it and do you know how well it stands up to the remake?

oddly enough I'd just recced them in the last/other thread
great choice though still thanks anon
Also might recommend you mid-early dir en grey since you seem to mention a good mixture of indie rock as well as harder more emotionally abrasive stuff that isn't exactly just heavy.
They had a really nice unique sound around then

ACRE
hi
do you like John Oswald
>>63721499
ooo it was pretty good but I'm not sure I'd start with it, I guess it depends.
Gauze - pure unadulterated jpop
Macabre - artrock/progrock
Kisou - lots of ballads, kind of has an indierock flair to it.
Vulgar - 2spooky jrock
Withering to Death - REAAAALLY CATCHY jrock
The Marrow of a Bone - hard prog
Uroboros - experimental metal
Dum Spiro Spero - prog/experimental/death metal
Arche - prog/experimental/death metal
I think Uroboros and Macabre are my favorites after all I've listened to them, but all their stuff is really nice, accessible and listenable enough to the point that it's hard to start in the wrong spot.
Since their sound changed so much I'd kind of also just recommend listening to them chronologically from Macabre on (maybe Gauze but I think every one of them really dislike that album)
interesting how they evolved
good shit
>>63721632
why yes my fellow music appreciator
>>63721239
>that solaris soundtrack is for the original movie right?
Wait, is it a soundtrack?
I didn't know that
>>63721743
thanks
>>63721705
well maybe marrow of the bone was more alternative metal. But they started getting more experimental there definitely.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJavh3IomvI
most catchy song
>>63721705
Thanks man, I'll check it out. Definitely more interested in the heavier parts than the jrock.
>>63721854
cool no problem ^^
and yeah then i'd definitely start on uroboros upward then
Vinushka and Reiketsu Nariseba have some of the most unsettlingly addictive vocals and the rest of their members play metal with roots in some pretty unique genres for it, makes a cool mix, hope you like them anon.

>I didn't know that
solaris is an old (russian?) sci fi movie that relatively recently got an american remake starring george clooney. I haven't seen the original film yet but the book was good and the remake wasn't bad.
