Trapstar and Logan-sama released a collab mixtape.
https://soundcloud.com/hypetrak-692399074/sets/trapstar-x-dj-logan-sama-mixtape

It's actually good, basically new MCs and bars over old Grime instrumentals, every track is pretty good apart from the shocking terrible Section Boys cover of Oi which has been doing the rounds.

Also new BANDULU on nodata.

Grime fans only dislike Stormzy and Skepta because they're intimidated by success.

The reality is that the man who made Illmatic doesn't give 2 shits about that random struggle rapper you lot think is better than Big Mike.

>>
>>63702958
Crazy Titch's vocal on anything is better than anyone else's vocal. Only exceptions are Delusion has a better freestyle over Straight and Kano has a better freestyle over Ghetto Kyote.
>>
>>63702993
The reality is that I don't give a shit about the man who made Illmatic, whatever that is.
>>
Grime just seems like a big marketing ploy to me by Adidas
>>
just recently started listening to stormzy, skepta, and jme
what else should i listen to

pic related is from randomly scrolling through their spotify catalogue and liking a song in the first 30 seconds enough to add to my main playlist
>>
>>63702958
This is fucking awful.

I don't get it.

Stormzy can actually flow over a beat, this guy is just fucking yelling. How is this fucking better?
>>
>>63703037
Stormzy is barely grime.
This is.

Here's a simple question for you, why is "grime", called "grime"?
>>
>>63703017
Fucking Nas you idiot.

All your shitty grime struggle rappers who no one cares about would dream of a Nas cosign, and Stormzy's the one that got one.

Shows that he's better than these other nobodies.
>>
>>63703046
Who the fuck is Nas and why should I care?

Also, grime MCs are not rappers.
>>
>>63703024
why don't you just add bleach to your morning coffee
>>
>>63703021
Possibly, Garage was a marketing ploy for Avirex.

>>63703024
Actually good Grime. Go to that Butterz page with the Grime sets and listen to those.

Or alternately listen to things at random off Silverdrizzle's youtube account.
>>
>>63702993
stormzy is a UK rapper not a grime MC, he just made some freestyles over classic instrumentals to jump on the current grime buzz
he's only ever appeared on a proper grime radio set once

reminder that grime is in it's true essence in a live set with a DJ mixing instrumentals, video related

what do people think of this? good to see someone inputting singing into grime, literally the UK's drake
Dapz has been putting out a high standard of music for a while, I'd put money on him having a top 10 chart hit in the next 2 years

Rocks FOE is by far the best grime MC out right now and he's only just started but in a couple years he's gonna be considered the greatest of all time.

Never heard an MC with flow this good, lyrics this good, etc. A grime artist has lyrically impressed me for once, never thought that would happen.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiThDBVZ0gE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIOrsJJTq_E
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JzG-g8Yrs0

He even blows Trim away in that last set, and raps in some African language out of nowhere.
>>
>>63703122
Been posting this tune for a while now.
To the point that people claimed I was a shill.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nBpEP8_QtI

Probably the best Trim ever did.

when does he get on beat? lol
>>
>>63703118
Not grime.
>>
>>63703177
He doesn't but grime fans are almost as cancerous as "real hip-hop" fans.

He's better because he's one of the OGs and is a "real street nigga" and whatever the fuck even though he's objectively terrible.
>>
>>63703147
Shame the EP and remix EP he released last year weren't on this level. He's great though.

The various MCs in Macabre Unit (9er, N-Doe, Loq etc.) are my favourite MCs in terms of lyricism.

>>63703151
I prefer Trim's older flow because his new flow is almost like spoken word, even though it isn't that different from his old style. His sets with Roachee were always the best. He was probably always the best MC in Roll Deep even when Riko Dan, Wiley, Flowdan and Manga were there.
>>
grime is literally worse than electro swing

I used to listen to grime when i was about 10 through to 16 , im 22 now.

Its kind of weird that there a massive resurgence of Grime all of a sudden , yet like the first time there is no note worthy releases at all.The only grime artist i re-visit from time to time is Dizzee Rascal because his first album spoke to me as a person growing up in London , yet its not really a 'grime' album so to speak. It seems like the resurgence is built around hype and social media by company's like post related >>63703021 . i dont think ill be able to respect grime as a art form until someone actually gives it a real voice.

>>63703190
Didn't crazy titch murder someone? why would you want to listen to him

he seems like a massive prick: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRV_0KxPw-E

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxjnuHlTRzM
>>
>>63703198
I really like the spoken word thing he does, because he has so much nuance in his voice, you don't really hear when he's chatting.

Just pay attention to that verse around the middle that starts with "I don't really know you".
>>
>>63703230
Yeah he's in prison for life.

And yeah grime has potential but it's awful right now.
>>
>>63703178
No, they're dancehall and jungle, the main reasons grime MCing is the way it is.
>>
>>63703230
Titch is a massive prick, every will admit that. He's in jail forever, for what exactly I'm not certain, I think it was accessory to murder and possession of armed weapons or some shit.

But good MC though.

>IM NOT A MOOK
>>
>>63703258
I like it, just not as much as his old style. I think it doesn't lend itself well to a particularly fast paced set and I still prefer the rapid fire old flows that people used to do on radio sets, before everyone started trying to get lyrical and all that.

I honestly don't really care what they are saying, as long as it flows nice on the set. The reason I never liked many Garage MCs is because not only did they chat pure shit on the mic and just started mumbling sounds at various points but most of them never flowed well on a set.
>>
>>63703211
thank u so much. im gonna frame this
>>
>>63703309
Such great artists give them there own radio station funded by the tax payer!
>>
>>63703322
>I honestly don't really care what they are saying
See, it's not about "what", it's about the "how".
And this tiny shift in tone for that one verse makes the tune.
>>
>>63702958
when does crazy t get released? need some more titch fire

>>63703469

>>63703485
He'll be in his 50s when he gets out. If he came out now he'd probably just end up back in anyway. He might release another mixtape from prison like Crazy Times 2 though, but it's unlikely. R.A is in jail for life and he still makes some tracks (but they are Hip-hop and not nearly as good as the Grime MCing he used to do).

i like that one song by Flowdan, something about anoraks, busting people's doors in, and bunning weed up

the rest sounds like garbage, he basically epitomizes the genre, there's nowhere else to take it, just shut it down and bomb London
