Speaking of. Is there literally anything that compares to SILY? As in for sheer amount of samples.

No way of knowing as most artists don't bang on about how many samples they used.

Paul's Boutique

Avalanches don't bang on about it, they just mentioned it because it is a fuck load of samples. But if you're happy to link me to albums I'll definitely listen.

Ehhhh, I was kind of leaning towards non hip hop stuff. Great album though.

>La nuit où j’ai dit non reveals a lesser known aspect of Martin Tétreault’s work. Here, nothing is brutal nor exacerbated; the music is instead ambient, cosmic, electronic… Hovering improvisations which develop through slow rhythms, long crossfades and delicate collages. La nuit où j’ai dit non is an intergalactical opera of space age musique concrète, chock full of details. All of this is the result of 25 LPs revolving on 4 turntables.

Thanks friend.
And no one has mentioned Madeon's "Adventure"?
truly disappointed.

Or any Basement Jaxx album, for that matter. They are all good.

Listen to pic related. Not sily levels of samples but gets there, plus it has some nice tracks.

Thanks anon. I'll download it. There was just something about SILY that hooked me. It's easily one of my favourites. I just love the idea that it's ALL samples.
>>63680395
pic related is what you're looking for
it's not your typical wanky turntablism recommendation either

Thanks. Defs grabbing this if it's what you say it is. Mostly grabbing everything in this thread though.
>>63680551
Oh yeah totally. It's one of those albums that I just fell in love with on my first listen. Kinda wish there were more like it though that just makes sily even more special.

>kinds wish there was more like it though that just makes sily even more special
Yeah. I'm completely conflicted in that sense. I love that it's unique, but I want more sample based albums. SILY is beautiful though and in a league of it's own.
