The Strokes' best song is Hard to Explain.
>>63666971
Definitely their best technically yeah, but not their most enjoyable to most
>>63667009
Fair enough, what songs do you consider more enjoyable?
>>63666971
Not the guy you're talking to, but my favorite song is unironically Reptillia.
>>63667045
YOLO never gets old
dont ask me why
What about The Modern Age
>>63667045
I feel that hard to explain is less accessible, it's a masterpiece for sure but compared to the catchier riffs, hook and singalong choruses in songs like YOLO, someday, soma, welcome to Japan, machu pichhu, New York City cops, reptilia and so on, as an individual track it's just not as enjoyable. I only really listen to it if the im playing the whole album. This is just me though, I may be a mong
>>63667099
Fuckin yeah m8
Although my personal favorite is their reggae song. Automatic Stop.
just wanna say strokes r guns n roses tier garbage cuz i dont think i had an occasion 2do it yet thx
hard to explain is awesome, but under cover of darkness is their best song
they have like atleast 20 goat songs tho
>>63667132
Honestly I see what you mean. It's really hard to say what their best song is
12:51 all the way
Trying Your Luck is objectively their best song
>prove me wrong
>>63666971
Under Control is their best song. Someday is a normie favorite.
>>63667201
taken for a fool is also pretty great off of that album
>>63667392
Literally the worst song on that album. Either that or When in Started
>>63667407
just relisened to it, it fucking sucks what is wrong with you
you have a serious lack of serotonin if you prefer that over someday
>>63667009
>implying the best strokes song isn't just the catchiest one
This band had one purpose: be a discount Television and ignite the aesthetic of indie rock for the coming decade. Saying that their best song is any song other than something like Someday, Reptilia, or YOLO is just wrong.

Solid choices
fast animals is fantastic for a new strokes song
>>63667504
it is no secret that julian tried to make likable music, and he did that very well in debut, and only first halves of all the other albums are good, more or less.
>>63666971
My favourite of theirs is Soma desu

First impressions of earth is the catchiest and has the best guitar work simultaneously
>>63666971

Machu Picchu
>>63666971
can you at least try to explain?
Comedown Machine was GOOD.
>>63668973

ize of the world is one of the best
Someday has never failed to put me in a good mood. And soma is easily one of the coolest songs of all time, right behind im waiting for the man, just so much swagger.
