>>63657099
Stop letting them worship your magnum dong
Y'know your opinion is just as valid as mine.
>>63657032

Post-rock that isn't crescendocore sucks
Slint are the worst band ever
Oh wait that's Swans
>>63657021

>>63657407
Great idea to include politics in this thread anon !
>>63657410
Wait what ?
It sure is nice to have a music board where people don't use music as a fashion accessory.
Hey guys, let's discuss deeply into why this is one of Muse's best albums - from a band who is universally heralded as being deep and subtly philosophical in their music
>>63657450
i know right, we dont have enough spill over from pol already!
i like music
>>63657407
donald trump has rational policies and a proven track record. of course, you can't really go wrong with ted cruz either!
I wanna fuck my music
I wanna go deep inside
well this has got to be the absolute worst album i've ever heard
just cheesy simple minded pop boy band music
if only mike love had complete creative control of the band, maybe then they'd be good
ITT; Artist you never see mentioned on /mu/.
>>63657601
wow she's hot and not strangely terrifying in any way
who /happywithlife/ here? i am :)
So who's favorite screamo band here is pierce the veil besides me?
>>63657627
you're deluded
>>63657021
I listen to music that I personally enjoy and not just whatever makes me seem cool
I really really think Miles Davis is the best jazz musician.
>>63657597
I mean not every album has to be hybrid theory, or Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, but fuck pet sounds is even worse than fucking garbage like MPP, or ITCOTCK.
>>63657032
I hate this new trip fag. What do you have against post-rock? Do you just think it's shit because you don't like it or do you have an actual argument for why it sucks?
unty is my favourite trip-gentleman
>>63658300
Wait hold on a sec are we still memeing or is this post sincere
I lost track
I miss Montie
>>63658334
It's sincere.
>>63658350
You do realize that Post-rock is my favorite genre and Spiderland is my favorite album of all time right?
>>63658029
Hey man this is bizarro /mu/
The Life of Pablo is the best album of 2016
>>63658358
My b, I saw in another thread you had posted that you didn't like crescendoshit so I thought you were gonna be one of the tripfags who just come here to shitpost about they don't like a genre.
>>63658410
I'm a massive fanboy of first and second wave, I just hate third wave with a fucking passion for ruining a genre with so much potential
>>63658426
Did you make the thread yesterday about that? The wasted potential thread?
>>63658470
Nope, that wasn't me although I agree a lot with the dude who posted it
>>63658426
you do know that post-rock started degrading with the second wave, right?
>>63658426
Define 1st, 2nd and 3rd wave pls (dates and artists)
Genuinely curious, I've been listening to it for years but I didn't really care about the history and chronology of it.
For once, maybe I will have respect for a tripfag.
>>63658496
Check the post-rock chart on the wiki. It has the essential albums mapped out into 1,2,3 wave
>>63658495
I consider EITS to be the killing blow to the genre, and if I'm not wrong EITS are generally considered third wave
>>63658496
First wave: Stuff like Spiderland, Laughing Stock, Millions Now Living and Hex. Basically all very different albums, all loosely linked around try to aim for the same goal using different methods.
Second wave: GYBE, Sigur Ros, Mogwai, (nearly) everyone on Constellation Records. Basically the bands that took extreme influence from the first wavers and tried to create a sound of their own from that.
Third wave: EITS, Mono, TWDY, GIAA. Everyone rips off GYBE and Mogwai's first album in the name of selling more.
>>63658495
Late second wave.
>>63658544
EITS I think is considered second wave, but the end of second wave.
>>63658573
It varies but they're generally considered either the end of second wave or the beginning of third wave. That's more or less the general consensus I believe
Is there a more talented person than St Vincent?
I love tripfags, you guys definitely don't ruin this board :^)
>>63658544
EITS just watered down the ideas that the second wave established, they weren't radically different from let's say, GYBE
>>63658548
there's no "late" second wave, it all lasted within the frame of a few years.
>>63658325
I wish he was my boyfriend
>>63658687
Yes but GYBE created their own sound, they were entirely original with what they did. EITS however were not, and they ignored all the intricacies of GYBE's music too while they were at it
>>63657032
But it is turbo pleb
>>63658338
Im still here b
>>63658817
>montie calling something turbo pleb
Honestly you were the reason I didn't want to put on a tripcode originally
>>63658849
You should remove yours immediately
>>63658870
Fuck off montie you're a short ass boy
pic related it's me
i'm a long boy haha
>>63658870
>>63658883
