They didn't make a vinyl pressing of this until a year after its release. Before then it was just a double cassette or double CD. For the double CD they used one of those thick cases that used the back of a regular CD case as the front and the back.
This means that at the time of release, there was no square album cover for this album until the vinyl copy came along. Even then, all the '90s pressings are numbered or still have the white number box and the newer box sets use different artwork on the box. There wasn't a proper perfectly square (without a stupid white box) album cover until the CD repress in 2012 which used a a standard CD jewel case that had the inside flip open instead of using a double thickness CD case.
After writing that I realized I probably have mild autism.
