Chthonic is a Taiwanese metal band that incorporates Taiwanese myths, history, and folk music. According to Wikipedia they have songs about wars between Taiwanese gods and Chinese gods, which is a cool metaphor for their "fuck China" stance that I'm definitely oversimplifying.
