just go thru the catalog of standard labels like basic channel/chain reaction, tresor, etc. or put on a playlist/dj mix via spotify/youtube and explore the genre through fate alone
don't make the mistake of download-whoring and accumulating a huge backlog of releases you might never get around to listening to. dance music shouldn't ever be a chore
focus on comps, mixes, singles and EPs and don't put too much stock in artist names unless it's something you recognize and really enjoy
remember that a track can be equally powerful as a short segue in a dj mix and as a full-length, 12 minute club single. try not to go into it with the rock mindset of appreciating a recording mainly as a holistic piece
remember that minimal techno is as physical and visceral as any other form of dance music as much as over-intellectualization would try to convince you otherwise

been listening to 1xtra a lot recently, loads of kvlt old skool hip hop, r&b, disco and house tunes. very few ratings for them on rym pages even from my friends. if i started rating all the singles i heard i would be the most rymcore user within hours.

i only liked a few songs on the wall... i've heard it a number of times in my life and each listen i came out thinking it was a huge waste of my time
but anyways dark side is such a well made album and it's so weird to see low ratings for it. it's probably my favorite floyd album aside from maybe meddle and saucerful of secrets, both of which i haven't heard in a long time.
