Green Day has to be one of my least ten favorite bands ever.
You have all the angst-ridden teens who claim Green Day to be "real-rock" and that the band "saved their lives".
The singer's voice has to be the standard, stereotypical whiny emo voice that bitches about everything.
No impressive musicianship. Proficiency is not always necessary but holy fuck a lot of their songs are formulaic.
Even the album covers are cringy. Dookie is embarrassingly juvenile, American Idiot reeks of "omg I'm so lonely" teenage-core and the whole Spanish number counting albums look like some indie band trying to make it big with the X's over the eyes.
