You know, taken on it's own merits - this isn't a bad album at all.
If it were released under a different band name, it'd probably get better reviews and not be compared to their older stuff - as usual.
I can never tell who the target demographic for the band is anymore though.
What other bands do fans of the current "mainstream" In Flames listen to?

hm, I think even on its own merits it's fairly weak
IDK wtf happened to anders but the guy just isnt even trying anymore
every song feels so fucking power-less and flat
i think everything's gone is fine
i am a huge in flames fan and i even like come clarity and soundtrack to your escape, but i just cant listen to them anymore

Yea, I mean live. It's so annoying hearing him growl and scream his ass off live and then in the studio you get 10% of that, at least in the last album.
I mean I like everything from them, something more, something less, and I just hope the next album, which seems to be coming this year, will be better than siren charms.
