I'm in the process of doing the same. So far, I only have Discovery, Ram, and a 12in of Music Sounds Better With You, which I pretty much just count as Daft Punk. As for cheap, can't exactly help you there

Do not buy a Crosley, they're absolute garbage. Best value fully modifiable TT is the audio technica LP-120. If you're broke as shit, the next best thing is the AT LP-60, but it has no modification options. It plays records and doesn't sound like shit, though.
