I used to like him a lot but I personally lost interest after he released Ki and I haven't been able to get into him much ever since aside from his old albums.

i haven't listened to him in ages but if 16-year-old me hadn't discovered and fallen in love with ziltoid the omniscient then to this day i'd probably still be listening to sappy folk tunes and backpambient exclusively

he literally got me into rock music in general
