huh... i believe one of the last days in a different thread you guessed that i study sociology or some shit. i'm not studying, did one semester of philosophy though, so you're not completely off with the humanities. i do like being outside, but only if it's warm.

i imagine you are quite sociable and like to go out for a drink in good company several times a week.

Pretty nice. Bob Dylan and Sabbath quite easily could've made my top 10 and those are my favourites of their's too.

>>63514778
Well there's certainly no dissonance to your top 10. I love Herbie and of course Miles. Do you like Van Morrison at all? I'd also challenge you to listen to Off Minor, they're an emo band with slight jazz influences.

>>63515261
Solid. I enjoy listening to Low a lot. The only Real Estate I'm familiar with is the Sunny Day one.

>Well there's certainly no dissonance to your top 10.
Dude dissonance is not only in free jazz. Jazz has dissonance everywhere from the solos to the comping piano, to the bass lines and to the melodies themselves. Saying that Herbie or Bird have no dissonance in their playing is one of the most empty sentences you can say. There's shit ton of dissonance in Jazz (more than most genre of music actually), so I don't know what you're on about. I very like Van Morrison actually, Astral Weeks is one of my favorite albums. But I can't stand emo. You should probably check out The Incredible String Band, especially if you like dissonant stuff.

Oh you misinterpreted what I was saying. I meant dissonance as in lack of harmony, in that your favourite albums aren't a complete mess of different genres. Probably a poor choice of words considering dissonance is frequently used to describe music itself so I apologise.
