Modern country music is a misnomer. It's no longer Americana folk music, aka music of the country, it's hillbilly redneck caterwauling that caters exclusively to Duck Dynasty and Nascar fans.
It's like if all of hip hop became copycats of Lil Wayne or Viper. Or if all prog metal sounded like Primus. Or if all world music became mariachi.
