already listened to a good chunk of this, but any idea where to start with Anathema, Baroness or Scott Walker?
>>
>>63495152
Listen to Hawkwind
>>
>>63495152

For Scott Walker, do 3 & 4, then 1 & 2 if your a fan. Then, pick up Climate of Hunter, Tilt, The Drift, and Bish Bosch.

Autechre -> Amon Tobin -> mu-ziq
>>
>>63495026
Listen to Charles Mingus and Boris

>>63495152
Listen to Massive Attack

>>63495320
I've only listened to Autechre out of those 3 and it's amazing, will check out Amon Tobin
>>
>>63495387
Amon Tobin isn't really like Autechre at all but he's fucking good, the best nu jazz artist out there
I personally prefer Bricolage tho

Oh, and Tri Repetae is in the bottom third of Autechre's discography. Not to say it's bad by any means, just that you really should check out their other stuff because it's even better. Start from Incunabula and go chronologically, it's the best way to hear them for the first time and eases you into their crazier stuff in the second half of their discography.

Oh fuck, I missed that Surgeon album. Definitely try that as well.

That's what I'm doing right now, the first two were incredible.
I love the dreamy and comfy vibe their music makes and most of their synths are really creative and unlike anything I've heard.

Got some Latin fever a while ago
Transa is GOAT.

Sounds like you'll be jizzing your pants when you hit Amber anon. Have fun, and try not to be too put off by their later glitchfuck stuff, it's some of their best.
>>
>>63495734
I've already listened to Amber, like I said, I listened to their first two albums. (Incunabula and Amber)
And fyi I did in fact, jizz my pants.
>>

That Transa album is amazing.
Also check out Chico.
Stan getz & Joao Gilberto is more on the Bossanova side if you're already into it.
Also I fucking love that Come To Daddy EP.

Well, I guess that's what happens when I try and read shit quickly on mobile. One final suggestion is to make sure you listen to their EPs as well since they're often as essential/as long as their albums, and check out Boards of Canada if you haven't already. Autechre were the people who originally 'discovered' them and they liked them so much they helped get them signed to a label, so if you like AE's synthwork so much, Boards's stuff is unlikely to displease you.

I'm already into ambient/techno but for some reason their first didn't really click with me when I first got into it.
Recently listened to Amber and I was blown away.
I'd say my favourite in the genre is Global Communication.
