Nothing significant has happened in this decade. If I listen to my local rock station they're still playing songs from the 2000's. I mean it's like time to move on.

Radio has played out it's role. It's irrelevant now except for top 40 crap.
I'm enjoying the Japanese rock scene. Lots of interesting music.

Black Keys, Ghost (technically metal, but they flirt with hard rock), Tame Impala off the top of my head. Arctic Monkey's last album was pretty rocking, too
