I never said I liked them, I was just asking what /mu/ thinks of them
The Black Parade is almost a 10/10 masterpiece other than the shitty Teenagers that breaks the whole momentum of the album. Other than that, everything else they've done haas been worthless garbage outside of 2 songs on 3 Cheers.

most cancerous fanbase, but were pretty great 2002-2005.
albums and songs are well thought out, great horror type concepts, clever lyrics. their fanbase make people shy away from them though.

One of my favorites t︂b︂︂h. I think they wouldn't have gotten so much hate if they didn't become a "costumes" band. Then again I think like half their fanbase was mainly drawn to them because of their look. Oh well.
Gerard Way follows Gene Ween on twitter.
That's pretty cool desu.

I'm surprised by the low ratings for Black Parade, I felt the same way for a long time until recently I revisited it and now I feel it's just as strong as Three Cheers.
>>63479518
It was a good while ago so I don't remember the details but there was a thread where robots were posting family photos or whatever, and someone noticed that one of the photos was of young Bert and his family. I'm not too sure but there was other evidence that made people pretty damn positive it was him.

The first half (everything up to I Don't Love You) I like. The second half is just really tacky to me, except for Sleep. It's like they were trying too hard the be theatric and wound up writing shitty musical numbers, idk.
>>63479666
What about Famous Last Words? Best song on the album imo
>>63479714
I guess it's okay, it doesn't give off the "shitty musical number" vibe but I don't like it as much anything from the first half. It's not that energetic of a song, which is what I mainly like about MCR.
Their 1st and 2nd records objectively are amazing and their best work

No, three cheers is solid as fuck. The black parade wasn't bad, but full of holes. bullets is a bit underrated and killjoys had its cuts, but shit like "sing" was just awful.
>>63480400
what holes? Outside of obviously teenagers
>>63480443
I Don't Love You and Famous Last Words mainly. Too many ballads for my liking. I guess I'm just stuck on Three Cheers.
1st album is best album. It was when theywere still themselves.

Black Parade was super gimmicky, but not any worse than 3 Cheers
