It depends who you are. As with a lot of fashion items, some people can pull it off (not that 'headphones' are a fashion item per se), while others will look autistic. Hopefully you have the self-awareness to know which camp you fall into, but if not the safest bet is to get some decent IEMs.

there are lots of consumer grade headphones that look okay to go outside with. problem is headphones like momentum that look nice don't sound great for the price. on ears a pretty shit too. msr7 sound really good though but they're no more comfortable than m50s
