Not in the least.
>>
>>63433832
dj douggpound? I mean some of his stuff seems to be non-sequitur but lack much in the way of substance, but some of his other stuff can be funny.
>>
>>63433832
Nah, he's pretty good.
>>
>>63433832
one the more technically inclined producers
>>
regardless of how much you might disagree with the lyrical content or the political agenda or the general stylistic direction of Run the Jewels, his late 90s and early 2000's work has already cemented him as one of the greatest producers of all time
so he deserves the proper respect
>>
>>63433832
Neh he's a pretty good producer. Some of his writing is hit and miss, but he good over all.

No way. El P has been around for a while making killer stuff. The remix he did for NIN is out of this world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RRbrWmaKyU
>>
Produced the Cold Vein.

Pretty damn based.

>>
>>63433832
nope he is quite the skilled producer
>>
he's been a hack rapper as part of run the jewels but other than that, no
>>
>>63435276
>the lyrical content or the political agenda
I haven't heard a RTJ album but I'm thinking of getting them, what's El-P's political agenda?
>>
>>63439302
as part of rtj? dad jokes about dicks
>>
>>63439302
i mainly included that because killer mike is very outspoken about his political beliefs, in his music as well as elsewhere, and a lot of people write off the RTJ project completely because they disagree with said beliefs
el-p largely just goes along with whatever mike's saying on the albums, i don't even know what he actually believes
>>
>>63439302
RTJ is leftist and anti-authority

which i personally have no problems with

rtj2 was goty
>>
>>63439339
El-P has always been pretty cynical, and a lot of his music voices concerns about the encroaching authoritarianism of modern America. Also, he samples George Orwell quotes on his first solo album
>>
>>63439398
Interesting considering how big a supporter Killer Mike is of the most economically authoritarian candidate.
>>
>>63439357
>when the Castanets start up in Blockbuster Night
Hnnnngggg, gets me every time.
Really like him when he isn't rapping. When he is, he's just ok.
>>
Given that he produced the following:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66iV3wuWWuc&ab_channel=RunTheJewels

...No. Not at all.

"I said El-P didn't do it, so get the fuck outta here"
>>
>>63439481
economic authoritarianism =/= authoritarianism
Neoliberals, everybody
>>
>>63439724
>using authoritarianism as a real word and not as a joke
>>
>>63439481
Yeah, I'm sure El-P would be really upset about billionaires and corporations paying higher taxes

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Authoritarianism
I'm sure the people who were victims of authoritarian regimes don't thing it's funny
>>
>>63433832
He's a hack rapper but a great producer. There is a long history of such people in hip-hop.
>>
GOAT producer and amazing flows and punchlines
>>
>>63438817
it's always bothered me how in that one interview he said he skipped one but in reality he skipped one and two

like am I just too retarded to get where "two" is or what
>>
>>63439235
he's been consistently better than shitter mike
>>
>>63439552
rtj is his weakest production you dumb fag

>rapper
>>
>>63440117
RTJ1 maybe but RTJ2 is among his best work
>>
>>63440103
>shitter mike
dude that is fucking brilliant
>>
>>63440168
I liked RTJ 1 more, on the surface the beats seemed uninteresting, but there's a lot of depth to them if you hear 'em on a good system
>>
>>63440551
RTJ1 has too many songs that aren't about anything
>>
>>63439481
>economically authoritarian

oh libertarians
>>
>>63440130
>>63439481

90% chance this was the same poster
>>
>>63433917
i actually laughed at this, love you anon
>>
>>63440168
Not really, it's just a more streamlined version of what he's always done. That paranoid shit.
>>
>>63441157
nigga shut up hahaha
>>
>>63440871
love you too bb
>>
>>63433832
No, he is doing great music and label since a long time now.
>>
>>63440650
I agree, some of the verses are weaker, but I thought it was less uneven, RTJ 2 falls off midway for me, too much singing for an album allegedly made to contain bangers, and I liked the features on the first one better
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0ijOe3sGEk
His verse on this is the GOAT
>>
>>63433875
this x1000
>>
>>63442029
fuck, i always hated him on that. this shouldn't exist
>>
>>63438817
fucking goat
i feel like im 14 again
>>
>>63442093
oh wait, nevermind, i never listened far enough to hear his verse. the first fag rapping on this is a straight up poser (from memory i thought it was elp, but it's not).
the original huzzah is so much better and exqure doesn't sound like a poser
