I've been using Stelio because it has a tag editor, supports all file types and its free.
Power amp is pretty great, using it for years.

It is. Awful design, crops out the cover art for no reason and in bad quality too, and the performance is shit. Probably the worst Google stock app. BlackPlayer, Phonograph and Shuttle are all better.
I use soundpicker/music (default android audio app), I don't have much of a problem with it because I organize by albums mostly. But the sound I get from it is shit, and I'm not sure if it's because it's android or if it's the app.
But it's also 16gb and I have a separate 16gb ipod for the majority of my music.
Is android just shitty and should I purchase a DAC, or is it only soundpicker that butchers the low end in my audio?
