No, that's not why at all. She's independently cringe-worthy because her song was embarrassingly bad. If Bjork was singing that song I'd be just as turned off, but thankfully her songs are much better (for the most part, I wasn't down with much after Medulla).

Many nordic singers try to emulate Bjork actually, even in Iceland itself, it's not a news. Probably because trying to emulate the most peculiar voice ever gives you some hope to attain. But obviously they can only fail without reaching any of the essences and qualities which Bjork has in her way of expressing, and especially by her natural tone of voice.
