Does anyone here play the Accordion? It gets a lot of shit for sounding bad (or at least it used to), but looking back on it, I love pretty much every accordion part I can think of.
Is it fun to play? How much do they cost?

Yep I do. I have 2 I bought second hand. The first one was slightly out of tune, but the second one was fine. both about 231 USD.
Great fun to play. One of the most rewarding instruments I've ever learned. really cool to be able to bring it out and play for people, taking it to places, sing songs, etc. Just an instrument that makes you feel good!
I started playing in January last year, and can now play over 20 songs pretty flawlessly
OP, tell the haters it's a portable organ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmTG9wTfrzk

I play accordion. I've got one a family friend gave me, used to have two, but I sold the big one (which I bought for about 200 euros, sold it for a little less). I sold it so I could buy a concertina, I've decided to switch it up.
It's nice to play, just like >>63344440 said.
It's mainly associated with rom beggars in Europe so it's not seen as an attractive instrument
its like the ukulele, its fun to play but by god dont ever do it in public, zach condon was the only one who managed to make it (Somewhat) mainstream acceptable and thats only because he normie-fied it
>Beirut reaches mainstream success
>Most of its biggest hits do not feature an accordion or any balkan-like structure, but instead is just cutesy pop garbage
Why do normies do this?

I play it. In fact, pretty much every song I listen to now has accordion in it, though that's mainly because I mostly listen to Jason Webley and Walt McClements (pic related) right now.

>jason webley
LITERALLY wears a fedora

Clowncore?

So does Tom Waits.
Honestly though, he may wear fedoras and shit, and he's been constantly shilling for Bernie for the past year, but his music affects me like no music ever has.
fucked up the spoiler, but the point still stands.

Thanks for posting this, I know what to listen to now.
What the the buttons are used for?
I heard it's hard to play
>>63348378
The buttons are called bass buttons, one of the rows plays notes, the others are combinations of the notes. Read more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stradella_bass_system
