yea man I loved the byrds. they were never special enough to stand out like other bands with that harmony oriented folky stuff. Like the Beach Boys or The Beatles. The bassist is really really good and has amazing tone but I just don't dig this spacy atmospheric build up style rock music. Also the rest of the band is really not on the level of the bassist which kinda ruins it for me. I just don't understand what people like about this reptitive stuff. To me it's just incredibly boring.

Maybe you're right. But even when i'm baked I don't listen to that kind of stuff. Listening to Jazz when i'm high leads to a LOT of conclusions and it's fun as fuck. Like two days ago I was hearing duke and I really felt the sadness of his band especially in two tracks I couldn't find in youtube in those versions. One is called Minuet in Blues and the other called Love Has Faded. The second song really spoke to me because my relationship with my girlfriend is going that route and that's how I imagine she feels about me. I'm posting it here in a different version of what I heard on sunday.
