If he feels the security did something wrong, then why can't he hold this opinion? Because it hurts people's feelings? What if a common security practice was not done and could have possibly changed the brutal outcome of that day?
Why are you people in this thread shaming him for holding this opinion as a person that was there and you weren't? Calling him a hillbilly and dumb is completely unnecessary and only shows poorly on your own character.
