What are your two most often played songs?

and heres the linkin park guy
/thread
this is pretty embarrassing but then again I havent used itunes in about 5 months or so
>>63242712
does someone have the screencap
I like the byrds
since migrating to a new library c2010, these two. i think the top one was the first song on my running playlist for a few months, the second i played a lot during a bad time.
>>63242457
Roygbiv is the second best song from that album
plz no bully
>>63243963
First is Aquarius right? Otherwise kys.
No idea and I have no way of checking.
I use apple music on my iPhone and don't have Itunes downloaded on my computer since I don't buy any music anyway and it would just be garbage to have on a PC anyway.
If I were to guess, I'd say its probably
1: "East Bound and Down - Jerry Reed"
2: "S.O.B. - Nathaniel Rateliffe & The Night Sweats"
Mostly because those are the songs I play when I need to get somewhere fast or I'm just feeling overworked and want to sing out loud.
don't understand how anyone has hundreds of listens to the same song unless they've:
a) been tracking for 10 years
or
b) have very small libraries / very narrow interests
i don't think i listen to my absolute favorite albums more than two dozen times a year. but maybe i would listen to them a lot more if i didn't constantly have a few hundred albums sitting in my backlog.
>>63244113
i usually get obsessed with albums for a while and listen a bunch and then move on for a while
>>63244130
i think that's pretty normal
>>63243883
here senpai
>>63243883
>>63244995
also sorry i didnt notice the shitty quality
>>63243990
I understand how people can enjoy death grips, but seriously over 400 listens? Do you have autism?
I had 300+ listens of Pretty Bitch (Lil B) back when I used itunes
>>63242457
I had no clue i listened to among the wildflowers so much but I believe it...
Never really looked at my top played.
I guess out of range is highest because it's the only release of it, my other songs are kind of dstributed between live versions and stuff as well, not just the studio.
>>63242457
>two
fuck the rules
I only play an album once. they way it was meant to be done.
>Brian Eno - Under Stars
>Grouper - Untitled
something mundane probably, artificially inflated because it's on a gym playlist or because i kept listening to the end of the song to see how it worked when ordering tracks on a mixtape.
haven't paid attention to playcount since ditching last.fm. that shit had me forcing myself to listen to my favorites to keep my profile representative of who i saw myself as. fuck all that noise. fuck tracking plays.
ehh
>>63242457
1. Neutral Milk Hotel - Untitled
2. ???
yeah
>>63242457
roygbiv, my man
>>63245159
Man I love those two songs.
Alison is such a good one.
well
>>63242457
I really have no idea.
This would look a bit different with much higher play counts if I started scrobbling years ago.
since july last year
>>63246645
>rating songs
>>63244995
I remember that thread.
That was a good thread.
>>63246797
when you have 20,000+ songs like a lot of us do, it's nice to push a button and see what you love (or loved last time you listened) when assembling playlists, etc.
if you only have 100 albums, i could see how you could get away with rating by album alone or not at all.
>>63246840
assembling playlists
>>63244030
Yeah, that's right
>>63246904
haha, do you even like music? jesus christ you're a mess.
>>63246904
fugg i forgot my maymay arrow :(
>>63246840
this
I got a relatively small library but I love rating songs then having a auto playlist that picks a "best of" basically everything with 4 or 5 stars
so i got a best of hiphop. best of male pop, best of female pop, best of trance, etc
then i sync those to my phone, pretty sweet desu
>>63245041
U N D E R R A T E D
I think we'd be good friends IRL.
>>63246916
alright let me give you a serious answer. first of all I have about 15000 songs, so no not 20k but i think i do like music. Rather than 15k songs i have around 1400 albums...
1) re rating songs: artists make albums, not songs (usually). often a song can't just be rated because it functions as a part of a whole album. not just individually
2) re playlists. again, the artist set up the album for a reason. why chop up a bunch of random songs into some playlist.
>>63246943
>often a song can't just be rated because it functions as a part of a whole album
this is what kendrick fans forced themselves to believe
>>63246954
i dont even like kendrick
>>63246943
>muh albums
not interested in this debate. feel free to head to the archive and read the last 1000 threads devoted to the arguments. you won't change your mind, and i won't change mine.
anyway, enjoy your music.
>>63246963
you don't have to convince me, hipster
>>63246969
yeah desu either way we're both listening to the same shit. no need to fight. have a good day/night you fuck
Before I lost all my music about a month ago, my most played song was Brother Sport with about 400 plays, followed closely by Straw Dogs
>>63243865
The hotelier are great, it's just a meme to hate them
Re-Inanimate and Entrapment by Meshuggah.
I usually listen to Catch-33 straight-through, and I've done it so much that my top ten most played is all Meshuggah.
>>63243990
best ITT
>>63242457
Went to the gym with the Iron and Wine pianist a couple years back. Decent sort of guy.
Talking Heads - No Compassion
Gary Wilson - 6.4 = Makeout
Only had this phone for a couple days tho
1. Billy Stewart - Cross My Heart
2. Ella Fitzgerald - Stairway To the Stars

>>63242457
Holy shit all these itune plebs.
Just install foobar or deadbeef already
Joan Baez - Here's to You (34,872)
Ween - Ocean Man (16,240)
>>63250367
What if I told you
I actually like its library management
And ratings function, and smart playlists
And I don't notice the software bloat
Because I turned Apple Music off, genius off, the store off, etc etc
And have 24gb of ram
And a 1tb ssd
my most played tracks are fucked because i left my audio player running over night on a few albums with the audio off
>>63244113
For real. My top is like 20 plays, and that's just b/c it's in my sex music playlist
>>63250789
I would tell you bloat software is still a problem.
It's supporting those who write shitty software that's the problem.
If you are an OSX user I would strongly recommend you to use deadbeef. It actually supports more than just ALAC and mp3.
Both foobar2000 and deadbeef can be customized beyond the point of functionality itunes offers. I think it's silly to use itunes. And I am not the only one whot thinks like that, luckily.
i play most of my music over my apple tv to my nice speakers but that app has a bug where it doesn't add to the play count
but anyway this is fairly accurate
>>63249595
>Today and Disarm most played on SD
>we only come out at night most played on MCIS
nigga what are you doing
>>63242457
Still Buddah Lovaz by Bone Thugs and Backyard Betty by Spank Rock.
Turns out 17-18-year-old drunk pothead anon had more free time than 20-26 anon.
>>63249446
real talk
>>63242457
>Fugazi - Waiting Room
>Gang of Four - Damaged Goods
>>63243964
i love you
i have a bunch of listens to this album because i use it like every time i fall asleep
some pretty dope tunes
swans - why are we alive
arthur russell - that's us / wild combination
>>63250987
What about Musicbee? Seems to offer a shitload of customization without the timesink that foobar can present.
>>63245024
its a good song
>>63252567
I heard good things about it. Windows only it though and not open source. Not that that matters much when using windows.
I wonder how it handles .cue files and the more obscure formats like .APE
>>63250987
>It's supporting those who write shitty software that's the problem.
Because ditching itunes for foobar/deadbeef is going to... do what exactly? Sounds like some impotent activism.
>can be customized beyond the point of functionality itunes offers
You overestimate my interest in tweaking and customizing shit on my computer. I left all that behind when I stopped PC gaming, and happily no longer give a shit so long as it's running smoothly and I can get work done.
>I think it's silly to use itunes. And I am not the only one whot thinks like that, luckily.
What kind of weird techno-ideological trip are you on. Grind that axe somewhere amongst people who care.
Here's the current ones. And I didn't think AnCo would ever be able to top Fireworks.
>>63252204

I really, really like Deerhunter
>>63253109
New live album out now called The Woodstock Sessions, go check it out. They'll be touring soon
Weight of Love - Black Keys - 24 times
First Snow - Emancipator - 15 times
Ive only had this phone for about 4 months and I usually listen to my music on foobar.
>>63253239
Not into the band or genre anymore, but i'll youtube it for nostalgia this evening. can't remember how it sounds, but remember it being a good night song.
