The Everlasting Gaze (not because I like that song over "Cherub Rock", "Today", "1979", or "Bullet with Butterfly Wings", but because that's the exact song I expect a cuntbag like William Corgan to shill like it's the pinnacle of music.

and... as perhaps the biggest SP fan on this shitty board, Tonight, Tonight is my personal favorite song for nostalgic reasons. But, if I really were to try and make an objective claim about his most "beautiful" song (best is vague) I would have to say "Home" off of Machina II.
>>
>>63201258
and here's a streaming FLAC link to "Home" for anyone interested. Track #19: https://archive.org/details/machina.II.ver.Q101
>>
>>63201274
ive never heard this. This is cool. Didnt they end up combining machina one and two and as a result took out a bunch of songs?
>>
>>63201547
no. there is a planned reissue where Billy will combine them into the original planned double-album ala Mellon Collie. The record label was pissed about Adore not selling well, so they said they weren't going to take the risk of paying to print some huge, two-cd album. Billy was forced to reduce Machina to a single CD. Hence Machina I. Then, as a final fuck you to the label, he arranged the other songs into a collection of EPs and an album titled Machina II. There were only a few vinyl pressings made of it, and Billy sent them to fans/people specifically so they could convert it to be listened to for free, without copyright restrictions of any kind, online. What you're listening to is the best known copy, a radio station received it and ripped it using professional equipment. Still, the only available copies we have are vinyl rips, therefore a certain amount of quality is reduced. 'Real Love' is an exception, because that song was strangely included on their Greatest Hits collection. So, if you're curious as to what difference a digital copy would make, compare and contrast the 'Real Love' from Machina II in that link with the one on their Greatest Hits album.

Generally, it's regarded that those songs on Machina II were mostly very good, and far superior as a whole when compared to Machina I.

He's responsible for a great many songs. I'd say my favorites are Heaven, Crosseyed and Painless and This Must be the Place. But they're almost all good

>siamese dream is the best SP album

we all agree on this right?

Mellon collie was good but had too much filler. almost every track on SD is a banger except "disarm"

Yeap

Nah m8, Disarm rules

>we all agree on this right?
Yes and no. It's their most concise as an album and Mellon Collie does have plenty of songs that could have been left out, but by its sheer volume alone MC has by far and away the largest amount of great SP songs.

I pick Mellon Collie.

there is no filler in mellon collie faggot

deluxe edition has 3 bonus discs and there's a box set with 5 singles each with like 5 b-sides - that is filler.

mellon collie is a masterpiece for the ages.
