Yes, but they don't really sound the same

That's the thing about Can. No one really does anything the way they do it

kind of bummed since it sounds like pink floyd was ripping their style on dark side of the moon, which isn't as interesting as this at all

Cardiacs

Tortoise - Millions Now Living Will Never Die
this band combines the sounds of Neu!, Can, In A Silent Way-esque Miles Davis, and Phillip Glass to make something incredibly original and amazing
>>63106059
Stop posting this man
>>
>>63106077
lmao no
Floyd sound nothing like Can, in prog rock terms they're polar opposites.
Are you looking for something more like Part 1 (groovy, improvisation based, crazy vocals)? Or more like Part 2 (Dark ambient, spooky, alienlike)?

>>63106085
I wouldn't listen to this one, it's just so fucking boring and lacks all the energy and groove that Can has
>>
>>63106085
this is great, thanks dude
>>
>>63106101
I like the whole thing, but part 1 especially halleluwah stuck out to me
>>
>>63106119
Listen to everything from the whole 70's Krautrock scene. Try these.

NEU! -s/t
Faust - s/t
Faust - Faust IV
Can - Ege Bamyasi
Can - Future Days
Amon Duul II - Yeti
Ash Ra Tempel - s/t

>>
>>63106101

Neu! Is best

I wish hallogallo was endless
>>
>>63106198
Evidently OP does. Fuck off, go back to listening to your shitty boring post-rock wank.
I fucking love post-rock but that abum is garbage
>>
Check out Faust
Faust, So Far, The Faust Tapes, and Faust IV are really captivating records.
>>
>>63106085
don't forget dub and i think Steve Reich was definitely the more pertinent minimalist as far as Tortoise is concerned
>>
>>63106298
I liked ITCOTCK and Aqualung well enough but I never got into it like I'm getting into some of these krautrock records (except maybe Red by KC). what is the difference between that and prog?
>>
Faust, Neu!, Cluster, Harmonia, Kraftwerk, Konrad Schnitzler, early Tangerine Dream...
>>
>>63106355
Krautrock is prog in the loosest sense of the term. Really, krautrock isn't that prog, it's more experimental rock than anything.
Also Red is the best KC album, good taste
>>63106381
Most of those are barely even rock at all, despite being called "krautrock"
>>
>>63106393
thanks for the suggestions man. also this nigga Robert Wyatt is grooving really hard
>>
>>63106427
No problemo fan, I love me some good prog so I try my best to get other people in the genre too
>>
>>63106491
fuck i meant *fa m
