/mu/ is a too childish to accept that you can have some fame and not totally suck at the same time. while arctic monjeys are not among my favorites, i dig their recent releases, they have evolved as a band and i enjoy the direction they are going. they are way ahead coldplay (cant really stand them) and i dont think they are an oasis rip off. Its not band i listen to every week but if one their songs pops in a playlist, im generally ok with that

I don't know why. Some people don't understand that you can enjoy music without it being /mu/ core/ a classic/ experimental/ underground etc. They make somewhat short catchy indie rock music. They aren't anything groundbreaking (although they do have impressive songs), but they make music that isn't bad.

I used to like them, got their album Brothers after watching the music video for Tighten Up on Vh1. But I'm just not that into that heavily blues influenced rock anymore. Though if a Black Keys song came on the radio or was playing in a commercial, I'd probably still like it and listen to it. I just don't purposely listen to them anymore.
