Is there a band/artist that has had a worse decline in quality than The Offspring?

saw the thumbnail and cringed a bit remembering this
>>62996603
Weezer
They were always shit, though.
>>62996681
Seconding
>>62996681
This. A damn shame too.
>>62996691
No matter how hard you try, you can't pretend that you don't like Self Esteem.
>>62996681
Their latest album was their best one since Pinkerton
>>62996769
You got me, actually, and I was hoping you wouldn't go there.
Foo Fighters too. The s/t and Colour and the Shape weren't any pinnacles of music, but they weren't bad. Anything after that was shit.
>>62996814
>>62996681
>>62996603
always been bad
>>62996814
This. Foo Fighters would've probably actually been a good band had Dave just stuck with the sound of the s/t.
They got pretty bad later on but Special Delivery was incredibly hyphy even if a bad song
Great song

>implying There Is Nothing Left to Lose isn't one of the best pop rock albums of the 90s
>implying Wasting Light wasn't a complete return to form and a radio rock masterpiece
wow
mercury rev
>>62997210
>Implying Wasting Light was good at all.
I'm still fucking mad that "Walk" got a Grammy. The Grammy's are shit anyway, but that song was fucking abhorrent.
>building up ,building up, building up, fuck, this song is about to fucking explode into an insane solo
>everything stops, it goes into another fucking chorus.
It was like getting sucked off and then the bitch stops and goes home right before you cum.
>>62996814
What are your gripes with Sonic Highways? honestly would like to hear
>>62997597
Why would you defend Sonic Highways of all albums
Wasting Light was great and a reminder that Grohl can still write songs, but Sonic Highways was a swing back into mediocrity as a direct result of the music coming second to the TV series.
>>62997571
Are you implying that a solo would have made it a good song
>>62996791
Yeah but it wasn't good.
Rivers should ditch that nasal twang he's developed and bring back Matt Sharp.
>>62996603
The Prodigy
From one of the biggest rock stars in the 90s, to literally who
limp bizkit, inb4 always been shit
>>62997685
Pretty sad, especially since the comments on new music is full of "wow EDM kidz will NEVER UNDERSTAND this".
I hate people who were ravers in the 90s and think anyone cares about their opinion anymore.
I don't know why people say it's ok to make bad music if it's a parody. It's still bad music.
>>62997697
Fan of Significant Other? if so my friend
>>62997633
>but Sonic Highways was a swing back into mediocrity as a direct result of the music coming second to the TV series.
I get that anon, but over staying your welcome and trying to stay relevant was a theme in their shitty docu so I was just looking for pushback of any kind
That seems to be the most prevalent
>>62996814
Everlong & Next year are two of the best pop rock songs of the 90's at the very least.
I stopped following them after One by One. Their first 3 albums were all fantastic.
If you disagree I will fight you IRL
>>62996681
>>62996791
Aside from "Thank God for Girls", their singles from their upcoming album have been pretty fucking solid.
"Do You Wanna Get High" sounds like a hidden track from 90s Weezer.
i've always hated the offspring.
they were played 24/7 in late 90's. glad they're gone
>>62997685
>>62997732
The prodigy are still making new music?
Bone thugs n harmony, after Eazy-E died, their sound changed drastically. They didnt sound as thug as when they were creepin on ah come up. Makes me sad
Honestly, that song is the only bad track on the album. Days Go By was definitely better than Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace.
Their single from last year is pretty good, too:

>>62999660
I love the bassline on that song so much.
>>62996603
Just fuck my aspect ratio up
>>62999968
I laughed :)
>>62996603
They're a pop punk band trying to capitalise on preteen taste, for course they're going to become shit after the first or second album
I remember liking punk rock since I remember remembering you know, but it's hard now man.
It's like the genre refuses to dare, and I know that there are exeptions, but damn.
And it seems to me that most mainstream rock bands share this refusal too. And all the band who don't conform to their usual forms are called "indies".
I guess I'm getting old.
>>62996603
>Implying that's not a great summer jam
Shit taste, m8
>>62999660
>Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace.
That opening track, tho

The first four tracks on RaFRaG are all great, but it immediately nosedives in quality after that. It's a really lopsided album.
You're gonna go far kid was good, I liked quiet a few songs from offspring
They were the most bearable college rock band
True that
Ixnay on the Hombre was their last good album desu senpai
>>63000681
Americana was their best album you little silly.
>>63000718
Americana was the only album people can still kinda reminder the track list, so you are right
>>62996603
Metallica
Lil Wayne
>>62996769
what the fuck is it with this song
it's an earworm when you don't even hear it, it'll just pop in your head and stay with you for a bit
anyone else find themselves singing or humming it while working night shifts at their shitty retail job?
>>63002044
